Started from the bottom now they’re here.
The 2015 NBA Draft prospects have filled Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to — hopefully — have their name called to join a team for the upcoming season. But before the festivities begin, the players paid tribute to an artist who can be seen courtside at Toronto Raptors games, dramatically reading Drake lyrics for Bleacher Report.
University of Texas’ Myles Turner opens up the video solemnly reciting lyrics to Drake’s “10 Bands.” Later in the video, players fake emotional reads of the rapper’s hits such as “Started From the Bottom,” “Know Yourself” and “The Motto.”

Predicted No. 1 draft pick Karl-Anthony Towns is missing from the video, but top picks such as UCLA’s Kevon Looney, Murray State’s Cameron Payne, Eastern Washington’s Tyler Harvey and international player Emmanel Mudiay came together to read “Make Me Proud,” Drake’s hit featuring Nicki Minaj.
Syracuse University’s Rakeem Christmas and University of Arizona’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson end the video by soulfully singing “The Motto” and laughing at each other. Christmas is turned away from the camera to add to the dramatics — and to try to hide his smile.
