2 Chainz recruits a cast of R&B All-Stars for his smooth new offering “It’s A Vibe” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and Jhene Aiko.
The melodic track follows the Gucci Mane and Quavo-assisted “Good Drank,” which recently received the remix treatment from a trap choir as heard on Chainz’ performance of the track on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “It’s a Vibe,” produced by Murda Beatz, will also live on Tity Boi’s forthcoming Pretty Girls Like Trap Music album.
He told Billboard of the album’s title last month, “I felt like [the title] applied. I felt like this was the time. I think [trap is] leading categories as far as genre in music, listeners and streaming. I’m excited to bring that to the forefront. I’m excited to be one of the people that kind of fill that lane.”
UPDATE: 2 Chainz took to Twitter revealing that “It’s A Vibe” was leaked as the audio was pulled from SoundCloud. He also promised two new records. “It’s a leak … bout to regroup…. 2 new records dropping tonite since somebody wanna be a #vibekiller leakin my shit,” he wrote.

He then dropped the official version of “It’s a Vibe” paired with a second offering titled “Smartphone.”
