Despite releasing a platinum album in 2017 with Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, 2 Chainz still finds himself fighting for respect in the music industry. After the lineup for Governors Ball was released Wednesday, Chainz slammed the festival committee for his name placement on the flyer.
“Whoever did this flyer need to do it over,” he wrote on Instagram. “No capp !! I put in to much work to settle !! I ain’t goin for the buddy buddy Shit this year give me miness!!! #prettygirlsliketrapmusic platinum #4amplatinum #gooddrank platinum #vibesplatinum #bigamount platinum !!Numbers don’t lie and neither do I !!!!”
Several hip-hop artists were placed higher than Chainz on the flyer, including Post Malone, Russ and DRAM. On the R&B circuit, Khalid and 6LACK are higher than the “No Lie” rapper as well.
Recently, Chainz suffered several losses in the collaboration department. First, he found out he was left off of Eminem‘s “Chloraseptic” after his Revival track list came out. Initially, he voiced his frustrations on Instagram with a series of emojis. Later, he deleted the picture and expressed his gratitude toward Em for having worked with him last year. “Grateful for the opportunity, new music on the way,” he wrote.
Last month, Chainz also revealed that he was originally featured on Travis Scott and Quavo‘s joint album Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho. According to the rapper, he was also cut off the final version of “Modern Slavery.”
