Between their battery life, storage, signal, and camera, people always find something to complain about when it comes to their cell phones. Google turned that sentiment into a relatable advertisement featuring 2 Chainz and Awkwafina in support of their new Pixel 3a and 3a XL models, which hit shelves Wednesday (May 8).
The clip finds the Drench God rocking a dapper suit alongside the rapper-actress in a nail salon laid up comfortably enjoying a manicure. Once Chainz goes to snap a selfie, he’s disappointed to find out his phone doesn’t even have enough storage to save the flick. “Yesterday, I had to delete a picture of my grandma. Why? So I could take a picture of my grandma,” Awkwafina jokes.
The pair go on to voice their displeasure with typical technology headaches and what features they hope to find in their next smartphone purchase. Enter Google’s newest devices. The 3a and 3a XL come loaded with a revamped camera, Google Lens to help identify what you’re seeing, and Google Assistant to organize your daily chaos. Pixel 3a will start at $399 and $479 for the Pixel 3a XL, which come in white, black, and purple colorways.
