Perrie Malik. It’s got a certain ring to it.
Zayn Malik’s fiancée Perrie Edwards set the pop world into a quick spin when she announced those two words in a video doing the rounds of social media. But rest assured, it’s not a real thing…yet.
It seems the girls in Perrie’s band Little Mix were just messing about by combining their names with the surnames of their respective lads. “The three girls in the group with boyfriends say their first name and their boyfriend’s last name and Jade says ‘I’m Jade’ with no last name because she doesn’t have a boyfriend,” a rep told E!. “They were teasing her. Nothing more.”
The pair announced their engagement in August 2013 when they were just 20-year-olds. The couple began dating in 2011, after they met backstage at the eighth season of the British X Factor, a season Little Mix ultimately won.
Zayn, who of course is no longer part of One Direction, recently stepped out with white hair…or was it green (it’s hard to keep up)?
