What are you doing sitting at your computer or looking down at your phone? There’s a whole world to explore! Or at least that’s attitude of Yoke Lore’s new “World Wings” video, which Billboard is exclusively premiering, showing the electro indie artist digging nature all around California’s vast offerings.
There’s a sense of liberation innate in much of Yoke Lore’s music and this track off his forthcoming Goodpain EP is no exception. That tone fits the new Kenny Polyak-directed video perfectly, through shots in Lake Tahoe, Half Moon Bay and Oakland that express the kind of freedom only found in the great outdoors. It’s like this is where the Brooklyn-based artist née Adrian Galvin is meant to be — and not just because his outfits are color-coordinated to match his surroundings.
“How do we stay constant amidst constant changes; in time, in space, in body?” Galvin tells Billboard. “Through all these changes, do we get anywhere? Because sometimes, I feel like I always end up back where I started.”
