Victoria Beckham is sad that she’s not a part of the thing she chose not to participate in. In a weekend interview with The Guardian, the pop-singer-turned-fashion-designer said that while she decided she wouldn’t join Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner on their summer Spice Girls reunion swing of UK stadiums.
“I’m sure when they are on stage, a part of me will feel a bit left out,” Beckham told the paper about her decision sit out the 11-date tour. “Because a part of me will always be a Spice Girl.” In the profile of Beckham, 44, focused on her runaway success in fashion and busy life as a mother of four and global entrepreneur and tabloid staple, the one-time pop singer says she has absolutely no plan to make a surprise cameo when the tour kicks off on May 29 in Manchester at the Etihad Stadium. “No. Definitely not,” she said, noting that it wasn’t hard to choose.
“Not at all. What I do now is my passion and a full-time job. I’m excited to see it, though.”
