Trevor Moran has officially come out as gay to his nearly million YouTube fans.
The 17-year-old social media star actually first came out with a music video for his song “I Wanna Fly” when it was released last week on Sept. 29, but on Friday (Oct. 9) verbalized his newly declared sexuality in a 6 minute video where he discusses it openly.
Moran said he never felt like he was actually in the closet and that this was more him “clarifying” his sexuality. Still, he had a hard time saying the words “I’m gay” at first in the video, letting a relieved sigh out after he did. He said, “That was hard to say to the camera, dude.”
He continued, “I don’t feel like I was ever in the closet, I feel like I was in a glass closet. You could fucking see me, like, ‘Bitch come out we fucking see you. We see you!'”
Moran also said explained thought he was bisexual for some time because he was “frightened” but he word “gay.”
“I did definitely try to be straight and experiment with girls – it just doesn’t work,” he later said.
