Ah, summertime, those lazy, hazy days and nights when best friends stay up late in their bunks at Camp Winnipesaukee singing their favorite one-hit wonder tunes from 1992. It was time to go revisit those good old days on Tuesday night (Aug. 8), when besties Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake pulled out the flashlights and sang like nobody was still awake on The Tonight Show.
This time, though, the excitable tweens were joined by two very special guests: agitated, short-shorts-wearing counselor Keegan-Michael Key and bearded 12-year-old camper Billy Crystal in the 10-minute segment. Amped up after eating, like, 7 Charleston Chews, Timberlake gets things going by lying about wanting to be in Color Me Badd during a game of Two Truths and a Lie before the pals loudly bond over their love of 4 Non Blondes’ signature hit “What’s Up.”
The latter outburst brings a visit from an agitated Key, a veteran sketch actor whose loose-limbed clowning causes everyone in the room to crack up. Oh, and Billy (Crystal) from Camp Buttonwood shows up to bring some noise with Gloria Estefan‘s “Rhythm is Gonna Get You.”
