According ot TMZ, police said the woman says she was raped backstage by two men who were reportedly “temporary” members of Weeknd’s crew at the Schottenstein Center on Sept. 19. A spokesperson for the Ohio State University Police tells Billboard in a statement that they are “actively investigating” the incident.
The alleged victim filed a police report the next day (Sept. 20) at the Ohio State University station that, according to a copy of the report obtained by Billboard, noted that alcohol was involved. A management spokesperson for the singer — who was reportedly out of the building when the alleged crime happened — issued a statement to TMZ that read: “Upon learning of the accusations that two members of our tour staff are facing, we immediately terminated their employment. We are working with the authorities to ensure they have access to any information or assistance they may need.”
The police report puts the time of the incident at around 10 p.m. on the 19th, and lists “hands, feet, teeth” as “weapon used.” Spokespeople for The Weeknd and promoter Live Nation could not be reached for comment at press time.
