Tei Shi’s vibrant music video for “Keep Running,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Jan. 27), is a hypnotic visual expression of the dynamic track.
Beginning with a karaoke scene, the video follows Tei Shi up the stairs and through various rooms and floors, each with a different atmosphere and with glowing color illuminating the space. She elegantly floats through the house while crooning lyrics like, “Everytime I look my shoulder/ I’m getting older /I’m getting older/ Time is so sad/ Tie me to it/ Strapped to my side.”
Director Agostina Gálvez tells Billboard, “Val (Tei Shi) and I connected creatively very fast and we were able to integrate our ideas in an interesting way.” She continues, “What I like the most about it is how ordinary elements become strange, generating a special atmosphere throughout the song. Shooting her was great, her slow moves and graceful gestures made her whole performance hypnotic.”
Tei Shi, who recently inked a deal with Downtown Records, is expected to drop her debut album Crawl Space on March 31.
