Taylor Swift is reportedly adding to her #brand with a new series of trademarked phrases that will join “This sick beat” and “Cause we never go out of style” in her Swift-only glossary.
According to a report from the BBC, the singer filed trademarks for the term “Swiftmas” — a way fans describe Taylor’s various good deeds, from charity work to free concert tickets — the album title 1989, “Blank Space,” as well as its lyric “And I’ll write your name.” The trademarks were reportedly filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Dec. 3.
All those born in 1989 should probably start stockpiling related merchandise now….
Billboard reached out to Swift’s rep for comment.
