With less than a month to go until its release, Taylor Swift‘s new album Lover has fans anxious to embrace her newest era.
So far, the vibe seems to be quite the opposite of 2017’s Reputation – bright and bubbly, with pastel-themed artwork and colorful music videos for “Me!” and “You Need To Calm Down.”
The hype is real: the album is the most pre-added by a female artist on Apple Music and “Me!” made the biggest single-week jump on the Billboard Hot 100 in history.
Here’s everything we know about Lover so far.
Release Date & Album Cover
After much speculation and a few hints hidden in the music video for “Me!”, Swift confirmed the album’s title, release date and artwork on twitter June 13. “Lover, album out August 23,” Swift said in a tweet of the album artwork, tagging the photographer, 24-year-old Valheria Rocha.

Track List
Though all of the song titles have not been revealed, Swift shared in an Instagram livestream June 13 that the album will have 18 tracks, topping the number of songs on all six of her other projects. In the same livestream, Swift described the album as having a “romantic gaze.” So far, the only tracks fans are aware of are the two singles — the upbeat “Me!” and “You Need To Calm Down” — and surprise song “The Archer” that dropped July 23. “The Archer” will be track no. 5 on the album, joining notoriously emotional tracks in that spot on previous projects such as “Dear John” and “Delicate.”

Collaborators
Besides Brendon Urie‘s feature on “Me!”, no other artist collaborations have been announced. However, we do know that the album was co-produced by Jack Antonoff and Joel Little along with Swift. In preparation for the release of “The Archer” July 23, Antonoff tweeted a bow-and-arrow emoji to hint at his involvement, and later followed up with a little explainer as to how the track came together.

Deluxe Editions
Swift also announced July 23 that four deluxe versions of the album would be available for pre-order exclusively at Target. Each version contains the Lover CD, two audio memos from Swift’s songwriting sessions, a unique set of her journal entries including lyrics and photos, a poster, lyric book and blank journal page.
The four #Lover deluxe versions contain pages from Taylor’s diaries over the last 13 years!
