No “Bad Blood” here: While players on both Major League Baseball teams scheduled to play at Washington D.C.’s Nationals Park on Friday (July 17) joked that Taylor Swift was to blame for a power outage that suspended the Dodgers-Nationals game, the Washington Nationals have cleared the air. The team released a statement via Twitter to reveal the real cause of the baseball field’s lighting problems.

Lights at the field went out three times between the fourth and sixth innings, so the remainder of the game was postponed, according to Bleacher Report.
“Well who was the last one to use Nationals Park last?” Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer tweeted later that night. “Taylor Swift.. I blame her for the power outs tonight. We now have #BadBlood.”

Joc Pederson, center fielder for the Dodgers, and Dodgers pitcher Brett Anderson chimed in on Twitter, as well:

The players called out Swift since she had just brought her 1989 World Tour to the field on two dates earlier in the week.
But on Saturday, July 18, the Nationals posted an update, pinpointing a faulty circuit breaker as the reason that the lights went out. See the full statement:

Coincidentally, as ABC News reports, Swift ran into technical issues of her own one night at Nationals Park when a piece of equipment that functions to raise her above the stage briefly left her stuck mid-air.
“I’ll just be here, forever, stuck up here, unless I choose to jump down,” she can be heard saying in the fan-filmed video clip below.
Highlights from Swift’s D.C. concerts included guest appearances from Lorde (for a performance of “Royals”) and a shirtless Jason Derulo (for a duet of “Want to Want Me”).
