“He’s one of those people that’s just like idea, idea, idea,” she told Entertainment Tonight, even though she says they’ve never been in a studio together. “He’s very creative and… I think we’ve talked about it, but we’ve also talked about so many other things… I completely respect him as a producer. So that’s all I know now.”
So stay tuned, basically. She was equally tight-lipped about her follow-up to her smash 1989 album.
“I’m not making the next record yet. That’s going to take a lot of thinking about what that should be,” she said. “With 1989, I love this album so much that I think it’d be doing a real disservice to try and copy it the next time around. I think it’s going to have to be something very different, creatively.”
She has plenty to keep her busy in the meantime: Her huge 1989 World Tour will kick off in Japan on May 5.
