We all missed the opportunity for #SquadGoals to get taken to the next level.
In an interview with Gay Star News, Sir Ian McKellen shared that he was invited up on stage to join Taylor Swift in concert (along with Patrick Stewart), but declined because “I had something else to do that night.”
The squad invitation likely came because Stewart and McKellen — who already give everyone who cares about these kinds of things friendship envy — were joking around with the singer online, following their respective performances of some of her song lyrics.
Swift, for her part, seemed totally into it.
