On Friday (Oct. 20) Taylor Swift released “Gorgeous,” the third song off her upcoming sixth album Reputation, and as usual fans went wild. This time, however, there was also a special guest feature that caught fans attention — sparking a wide variety of theorizing over who it might be.
In the first second of the track, a child coos the word “gorgeous,” presenting the question: Whose voice is that?
Here are some of the best theories for the identity of the baby at the beginning of “Gorgeous.”
James Reynolds, daughter of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
So far this seems the most plausible theory and several Twitter users claimed that Swift leaked the info at her private listening session on Wednesday. Blake and Ryan also liked Swift’s Instagram post previewing the song, including the voice cameo.

So it’s confirmed the baby’s voice at the beginning off #Gorgeous is Blake and Ryan baby girl James.

Leo Thames Newman, son of Jaime King
Swift and King have a tight bond, so much so that the actress and model appointed Swift to be Baby Leo’s godmother. It would make sense that she’d want to give her godson a moment in the spotlight.
Dixie Pearl Followill, daughter of Lily Aldridge
Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated model Lily Aldridge is also a member of Swift’s legendary squad, so it’s plausible that her daughter, Dixie, could be lending her vocal duties to the new track.
North West, daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian
One popular fan theory surrounding Reputation suggests that each of the tracks correlates to a different Taylor in the “Look What You Made Me Do” video. In this theory, “Gorgeous” syncs up with VMAs Taylor — otherwise known as the Taylor who got famously interrupted during her 2009 VMAs acceptance speech by a belligerent Kanye West. Twitter users have speculated about the potential jabs Swift may have taken at West during the Reputation rollout and others still posit that their whole feud is just a publicity stunt. (Not to mention West released his own song called “Gorgeous” in 2010, shortly after the VMAs debacle.) If any of this is true, including West’s daughter, North, on “Gorgeous” would be a brilliantly maniacal move.

Young Taylor Swift herself
Despite all the talk of the “Old Taylor” being dead on “Look What You Made Me Do,” it’s possible that Swift included a younger version of herself at the beginning of “Gorgeous.” Fans cited the pop star’s video for 2009’s “The Best Day,” which consists of old home footage, to bolster the theory.
I think the little girl in #Gorgeous is @taylorswift13 when she was 3. Listen to the Best Day. https://t.co/wiqf18LWMW @shookswiftie
