It was sticky and humid at the Biggest Weekend Festival in Swansea, Wales, on Sunday (May 27), with everyone feeling the burn, even the typically cool and collected Taylor Swift. When the singer came offstage after a six-song set at the all-star event that also featured Florence + The Machine, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Rita Ora, Camila Cabello and more, she appeared to have a glow that BBC Radio 1’s Greg James noticed, and pointed out.
“I think you need to have a shower now,” James joked to Swift, who replied. “I agree. And I’m not offended that you said that. There’s a lot going on and none of it’s good here.” A fan Twitter account posted video of the exchange, noting that it was the first recorded interview Swift had done in more than two years and that being told she needed a shower was not okay.

James heard some of the heat from fans and responded, writing, “She really is right. TS has a great sense of humour and we have known each other for ages and had a good catchup after the interview. It’s all cool.”
She really is right. TS has a great sense of humour and we have known each other for ages and had a good catch up after the interview. It’s all cool. It was hot up there. I almost said we should both go for a shower but after this reaction I’m glad I didn’t! X

Needless to say, though the singer didn’t seem to take offense at the quip, Swifties were not having it. However, some pointed out that James was clearly joking.
