Spring truly sprung on Friday (March 26) when Taylor Swift dropped not one, but two new tracks for the Swiftie nation. Okay, technically both were old, but they were new to us. After teasing the release of her first “From the Vault” song — written, but not recorded during the 2008 sessions for her Fearless album — Swift offered up the gentle acoustic single “You All Over Me,” and then slipped another goodie into our baskets with a dance remix of one of her most beloved early hits.
“Love Story,” her dreamy retelling of Romeo and Juliet, was originally released in Sept. 2008 and peaked at Nov. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, signaling her crossover from country to pop. Swift released a “Taylor’s Version” of the track last month, the first salvo in her promise to re-record her back catalog. And on Friday she doubled-down with a dancefloor-ready “Elvira Remix” of the song that adds a thumping beat and EDM flourishes.
The best part? It was accompanied by a visualizer that is sure to melt Swiftie hearts from coast-to-coast as it features a series of Fearless-era snaps of Tay posing with her dedicated fans. “‘You All Over Me’ (feat. @MarenMorris) (From The Vault) and ‘Love Story (Taylor’s Version)’ – Elvira Remix are out now because in this house we dance and cry at the SAME TIME,” Swift tweeted to celebrate the double drop.
