Taylor Swift feels good about her new album — better than she’s ever felt about an album before, actually.
Appearing on Good Morning America to talk about 1989, which came out Sunday night, Swift said, “Without a doubt, this is the best thing I’ve done.” Watch her interview here.
Swift isn’t alone in feeling this way. Robin Roberts noted that “the reviews have been incredible” for 1989.”That was so cool,” said Swift. “Hearing that is so insane… to have people able to finally have now and have the fans understand what I’ve been working on for two years. It’s the most amazing feeling; it’s electric.”
The star talked about her approach on the new album: “You have to stay true to who you are, and at the same time challenge who you are to explore all the different aspects of what you can create.”
“I could have made Red twice,” she added, “But instead I decided to go in a completely different direction, and I’m truly happy I did.”
Swift has a busy week ahead promoting her release. She Instagrammed her schedule, check it out below.
Here’s the tv schedule for this week! Not on here, but also important: gonna be on MTV all day in between shows talking about 1989 with Jack Antonoff, and later this evening, there’s a huge radio takeover called The I Heart Radio Ultimate Secret Session that you can watch online and listen to on the radio.
