Emerging indie artist Taylor Janzen dropped “What I Do,” her first single under Glassnote Records, on Wednesday (Nov. 20).
The catchy, pop-inspired track reflects on the singer-songwriter’s self-sabotaging actions in a relationship.
Janzen was discovered by Glassnote president and founder Daniel Glass in April while shooting the music video for the title track of her EP Shouting Matches. After a seven-month courtship, she officially announced her signing with the label on Tuesday (Nov. 19).
The up-and-coming singer has already earned praises from Hayley Williams of Paramore, and is planning to release new music with producer Joe Chiccarelli, who is known for his work with The White Stripes, Alanis Morissette, and The Strokes.
