Alt-pop trio Tangerine are back to sharing their dreamy pop tunes with fans following their recent tour with Bleachers this fall. Today (Nov. 13) , the band shares newest song “Fever Dream” exclusively with Billboard.
Seattle-born trio Tangerine is a self-defined “dark pop + rock n roll” group, comprised of sisters Marika (vocals, guitar) and Miro Justad (drums) along with best friend Toby Kuhn (guitar). In August they released “Sly Moon,” a track created alongside Queens of the Stone Age‘s Michael Shuman and Zach Dawes of Mini Mansions, followed up by their latest, “Fever Dream.”
The light-hearted sound of “Fever Dream” is accompanied by an all-too-real message about the vulnerability of existing as a woman in this current day and age. Tangerine further explained, “Fever Dream is a dreamy pop song that reflects on what it’s like to be a woman or otherwise vulnerable person in the world. This song is dedicated to anyone who knows how it feels to have to walk home with your keys between your knuckles.”
