In anticipation for the Wonder Woman movie this summer, Sia released the new single “To Be Human” featuring Labrinth today (May 25).
The film is set to hit theaters June 2, starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, following the events of World War I that leads up to the beginning and rise of Wonder Woman. The movie marks the first superhero film ever to be directed by a woman (Patty Jenkins) with a leading female protagonist in the storyline.
Sia’s powerful song reflects the film’s underlying message will be included in the Wonder Woman soundtrack, that also features the original score by Rupert Gregson-Williams. “To be human is to love / Even when it gets too much / I’m not ready to give up,” are the mighty lyrics belted out in the heart of the song, adding to the dynamic and inspiring beat.
