Shawn Mendes has dropped “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” his collab with Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello.
The Canadian pop artist pulled the plug on ten days of teasing when he announced the track had dropped ahead of midnight.
Cabello was so excited about the release, she could hardly contain herself.
Cabello recently revealed that the duet, which will feature on Mendes’ Handwritten Revisited reissue, was written backstage at one of Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour shows. “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is available to buy here on iTunes.
Mendes, the former Vine star, earned his first No. 1 on a Billboard radio airplay chart when “Stitches” rose 2-1 on the Pop Songs list (dated Nov. 21).
“Stitches” appeared on his debut full-length, Handwritten, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in May. His 2014 release, The Shawn Mendes EP, bowed and peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
