Grammy-nominated artist Seth Glier has just released the video for the title track of his latest album If I Could Change One Thing, a ballad featuring American Idol alum Crystal Bowersox. Watch the exclusive premiere below.
For Glier’s fourth album, he’s taking his aesthetic from acoustic balladeer to modern-pop crooner, all while preserving the heartfelt songwriting that has propelled him to opening slots for artists like James Taylor, Ani DiFranco, Emmylou Harris and Ryan Adams.
“This song is about that moment when a relationship falls apart and both people have stopped blaming each other,” Glier tells Billboard. “Often times I find that the reason of why people stay together and why people split up are fairly simple.”
“I think that we can all relate to the lyric,” Bowersox adds. “The gut-wrenching emotion of regret and missed opportunities to shower the ones we love with praise rather than taking a precious relationship for granted.”
