Selena Gomez recently paid a visit to her childhood home in Texas, and shared the heartwarming experience with her millions of followers on Instagram.
While stopping by her hometown of Grand Prairie, the 25-year-old singer took a stroll down memory lane by visiting the house she grew up in. Gomez had hoped to take a peek inside, but unfortunately nobody answered the door when she knocked. She made the best of the situation by posing for a photo on the front steps of the house.
“The home I grew up in, from birth to 13… (no one was home when I knocked this time lol),” Gomez captioned the photo.
“I visit this place every chance I get,” Gomez continued. “In many ways it very well could have been better than my life today, but I’m grateful for a voice that can enable change today. Even when I don’t know how to do it well or actually want it. I love you Grand Prairie. Thank you.”
Gomez relocated from Texas to Los Angeles in 2007 to pursue a career in entertainment.
