The pop star and Audrey Nethery, a Zumba dancing Internet sensation with the rare bone marrow disease Diamond-Blackfan anemia, met and danced to Gomez’s 2011 single “Love You Like A Love Song” for a video that will melt your heart.
The dance party is a call back to a video posted on Nethery’s Facebook page in January that shows her at home dancing to Gomez’s song.

Gomez posted on the video, “Audrey, you are an amazing performer! Call me if you ever need a duet partner.” It looks like five years later they finally had their duet.
Nethery was diagnosed with Diamond-Blackfan anemia when she was a baby. The condition often causes symptoms such as fatigue and weakness, as well as physical disorders, including microcephaly, cleft palates and glaucoma.
The young girl is actively spreading word about Diamond Blackfan Anemia and encouraging donations for research at www.dbafoundation.org.
