The third installment of Disney’s Descendants series premiered on Friday night (Aug. 2), along with the official video for “Queen of Mean,” performed by Sarah Jeffery, who plays Princess Audrey.
The video shows the princess crying and writing in her diary as she raps, “I waited patiently for my time/ But when it finally came/ He called her name/ And now I feel this overwhelming pain.” Audrey rocks a light pink gown with matching pastel hair as she laments her situation.
Growing more and more jealous after finding out that Ben (son of Belle and Beast) had proposed to Mal (Maleficent’s daughter), Audrey breaks into the Auradon Museum and steals the Queen’s crown and Maleficent’s scepter. Afterwards, her appearance grows darker, with a dark purple outfit and matching hair.
“I will be the ruler of the dark and the bad/ ‘Cause the devil’s on my shoulder/ Where the angels used to be/ And he’s calling me the queen of mean,” she continues.
The TV movie’s soundtrack, which goes by the same name, is out now.
