Sara Bareilles took to Twitter on Wednesday morning (Feb. 13) to announce that she has a new album on the way.
To tease the upcoming release, she gave fans a first look at the project, titled Amidst the Chaos, and also revealed that it will be available for pre-order on Friday.

Bareilles achieved mainstream success in 2007 with her hit single “Love Song,” which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Most recently, she dropped the single “Armor” in the fall and just delivered a music video for the song last week.
The new album comes after a lot of anticipation from fans, since it’s been two years since her latest album, The Blessed Unrest, was released.
Bareilles shared additional details with her fans about what it was like writing the album, letting them know that the last few years have been intense and that she has a lot to say.
I actually really loved turning back inward to tell my story again. The last years have been intense…there is a lot to say. — https://t.co/5AxDLITods

There has been no official release date set.
UPDATE: The original story listed Sara Bareilles’ last album as Seize the Day! Your Morning Commute — which is actually a Spotify playlist that features her music. She asked us not to fix it (sorry, Sara), but the record now shows that her last album was called The Blessed Unrest.
