Sam Smith is definitely back at it. After taking an extended Ed Sheeran-like year-plus break from the spotlight, the “Stay With Me” singer posted a series of pictures from the studio on Tuesday (June 6) in which he is toiling away with Jimmy Napes, the producer who co-wrote “Stay” and the Oscar-winning James Bond anthem “Writing’s on the Wall” with Smith.
The nine shots, tagged “Recording x,” are the first clues that Smith is revving up to return to the airwaves two months after producer Timbaland posted a pic with Smith and Napes captioned “we’re just getting started.”
