British drumn’n’bass group Rudimental recruited Ed Sheeran for the song “Lay It All On Me” off their upcoming sophomore album, We the Generation, and released the big track Thursday. Turns out, it will be Sheeran’s last song out for a while.

The outfit’s Amir Amor explained the song to BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, saying, “It’s a song about sticking together, really — about brotherhood.”
Rudimental explained they played the song for Sheeran while touring with him in American and wound up finishing it together in London.
They’d previously collaborated on the song “Bloodstream,” which also appears on We the Generation.
Meanwhile Sheeran let his fans (and detractors) know this is it for him for a while:
