A bunch of new A-listers have been added to 2015’s Rock in Rio USA, as the international festival celebrates its 30th year by hitting Las Vegas for back-to-back weekends in May.
Sam Smith, Charli XCX, Jessie J, Bleachers, Tove Lo, Empire of the Sun and Echosmith are among the artists just announced to play Rock in Rio’s first Stateside showing, set for May 8-9 and May 15-16. The lineup additions were announced Tuesday (Jan. 13) alongside a live performance from Charli XCX at a press event hosted at the Village Studios in Los Angeles.
Held in the Vegas strip’s open-air City of Rock venue, the festival is divided along genre lines, with rock acts playing the first weekend and pop-leaning acts playing the second.
Tickets go on sale Jan. 20 here.
