Rita Ora plays multiple roles in her cinematic “Only Want You” video, released on Wednesday (March 6).
The visual opens with the singer sitting in the back of a car, on the phone with a friend, lamenting about false news stories being written about her. “How are people allowed to write whatever they want?” she yells. “Is that even legal?”
Ora is then shown walking into a ‘50s-style diner to have some food, only to be found by a swarm of paparazzi. Before she can react, she’s whisked out of the back entrance to the restaurant by a waitress — who is also played by Ora. “I don’t wanna wear another mini dress/ To impress, a potential problem,” she sings.
Pivoting to her point of view, the video follows the young waitress on a rough night, before she finds a card Ora left behind for the club she was set to perform at. The waitress appears at the club to see Ora performing her song in a glittering dress; the two recognize one another and each shed a single tear.
The new video comes just after Ora’s official release of the single featuring rapper 6LACK, who does not appear in the video, though his verse does.
The star also just began her Phoenix World Tour in Australia, which will see travel all the way to the United Kingdom in May, with one U.S. stop in Dallas on March 30.
