
Despite Rita Ora‘s lawsuit with Jay Z‘s Roc Nation record label and accusations earlier this year that she was the infamous “Becky with the good hair” notes on Beyonce‘s Lemonade album, the singer says she looks up to the power couple and credits them as “good mentors.”

Speaking with Cosmopolitan UK for a new cover story, Ora said, “I’m still happy I’ve had this incredible experience. Jay is one of my idols and Beyonce is obviously the queen of life. I’ll never not appreciate the experience I had with them and the things I’ve seen.”
Ora signed with Roc Nation in 2008 and in 2012 released her debut album, Ora, but from there things turned sour with the two entities suing each other over the music she was supposed to release following. They have since parted ways and in June Ora signed a worldwide recording contract with Atlantic Records UK.

As subject turned to her past relationship with Calvin Harris, Ora was not so keen to discuss things. She said, “I hate being defined in relationships.”
