Q-Tip and Demi Lovato were two of the first artists to tease their Elton John covers from his forthcoming two-album project Revamp and Restoration on Friday (March 16), presenting their jazzy rendition of the legendary singer’s classic duet with Kiki Dee, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” Q-Tip and Lovato don’t make this sultry cover, but there’s abundant flamboyant apparel and retro decor to catch the viewer’s eye.
The Tribe Called Quest rapper and “Sorry Not Sorry” powerhouse joined forces on the duet for the Revamp disc of John’s two-album set, which will be released on April 6. The compilation albums honor John and his longtime lyricist Bernie Taupin, just in time for the Piano Man’s farewell tour beginning in September. The albums will feature reprises of John and Taupin’s biggest hits from superstars like Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Willie Nelson and more.
Also among the artists featured in the collection is Chris Stapleton, whose contribution to the project was released as a single in addition to Q-Tip and Lovato’s video. The country star put his twist on John’s tear-jerking power ballad “I Want Love.”
