P!nk will join Rag’n’Bone Man for a performance of their emotional duet “Anywhere Away From Here” at this year’s Brit Awards. The duo will take the stage together at the May 11 event alongside the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir.
The 2021 Brits recently announced that the show will include a live audience of around 4,000, with 2,500 free tickets being offered to front-line workers and 1,500 to the guests of nominees and record company staffers. P!nk and Bone Man join a line-up of performers slated for the show that includes Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, and this year’s Rising Star winner Griff.
“Having people attend this special evening makes me really excited for touring to come! I’m grateful that P!nk is able to join from across the pond, to my band as ever and the NHS Choir are sounding amazing!,” Bone Man said in a statement, confirming that P!nk will be beaming in from the U.S. The event will take place at the O2 Arena and be broadcast on ITV and ITV Hub and hosted by comedian/actor Jack Whitehall.
“We’re so excited to be a part of music history, and truly privileged to be able to perform for our NHS family and all the key worker heroes,” added choir leader and children’s physiotherapist Caroline Smith. “We hope this very special version of ‘Anywhere Away From Here’ acts as a tribute to all the superstars at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and our NHS colleagues across the whole UK, who’ve done such extraordinary work keeping the country safe. Thanks so much to Rag’n’Bone Man too for inviting us – we can’t wait for the big night!”
Fans will not be required to wear masks or socially distance during the event, which will use enhanced testing to examine how events can take place without necessitating distancing as part of the U.K. government’s scientific Events Research Programme; the Brits are the first live music show at the O2 in over a year.
