Stars, they really are just like us. Which is why when a fan asked P!nk on Wednesday night (June 16) to name her favorite book from childhood as a way to inspire students to love reading, the singer offered up a perfectly relatable answer.
“Sure! I loved Goodnight Moon because of the illustrations and the old lady,” the mother of two said of the beloved 1947 picture book written by Margaret Wise Brown and illustrated by Clement Hurd that has sold nearly 48 million copies around the world and been translated into dozens of languages.
She wasn’t done there, either. P!nk also said she liked, “The Berenstain Bears cause they seemed like a happy family that all liked each other.” Awww.
P!nk’s been in a nostalgic mood about school lately, tweeting out a tribute to her high school choir teacher last week after he led the Central Bucks High-West School Choir in a rousing version of her 2017 protest song “What About Us.”
