Someone finally got the acrobatic P!nk to sit still — sort of — as she’s Cosmopolitan‘s January 2018 cover star. In the cover photo (shot by Jason Kim), the 38-year-old singer poses screaming in a Mugler pantsuit, while another photo shared shows her mid-dance move.
In a preview of her cover story, P!nk was asked a range of quick-hit questions. When asked for a famous women she admires, Pink said “Ellen DeGeneres” because “she always leads with kindness.”
The two powerful females’ friendship was on display at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, as DeGeneres presented P!nk with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. P!nk also wrote a new theme song for The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2015.
Another woman name-dropped by P!nk was acclaimed actress Angelina Jolie, as the “Beautiful Trauma” singer said that Jolie’s character in Girl, Interrupted is the fictional character she most identified with “because I’m batshit.”
The one long answer given by P!nk involved dating advice she has given her six-year-old daughter, Willow: “She said to me the other day, ‘How many boys can I have at once?’ And I said, ‘Excuse me?’ I said, ‘Probably none of them because they won’t deserve you. They have to be kind, respectful, they have to be chilvalrous. They have to be good to their moms, they have to be good looking, they have to be funny.”
On the music side of things, P!nk was asked to describe some of her collaborators in one word. Eminem, who is featured on Beautiful Trauma track “Revenge,” received high regard, as P!nk simply said, “Genius.”
