The members of a cappella group Pentatonix may have impressive voices and harmonies, but as it turns out, they also have killer lip-syncing skills. Kirstin Maldonado, Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola and Mitch Grassi stopped by Lip Sync Battle on Thursday (March 9) to take each other on by fake-belting out hits like Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” and Ariana Grande’s “Side To Side.”
Maldonado re-enacted Taylor Swift’s infamous “Look What You Made Me Do” video, complete with a bathtub full of diamonds and an actual live snake draped on the gold throne. Hoying then sported Ariana Grande’s iconic pony tail for his take on “Side To Side” (which featured workout bikes and shirtless men, naturally) and showed off some moves during Nicki Minaj’s rap verse.
Olusola chose John Legend‘s hit “Love Me Now” for his performance, serenading Legend’s wife and Lip Sync Battle co-host Chrissy Teigen — who then decided to join the group of dancers, all wearing pictures of her face in a slightly creepy, yet entertaining, way. And finally, Grassi performed a fun rendition of Katy Perry’s “Bon Appetit,” featuring dancing vegetables and a giant oyster.
Though Olusola ended up bring crowned the winner, Pentatonix fans were likely pretty conflicted in choosing a winner after the effort each member put in. Check out the entertaining performances below.
