Roger Fraser is one dedicated dad.
When the 37-year-old heard that 99.5 WZPL, a local Indiana radio station, was hosting a contest to win One Direction concert tickets, he went all out to win for his daughters — he got a 1D tattoo.
Fraser wanted to stand out among the other dads who merely dressed up as a member of the foursome or dressed up as a crazy fan. The day after getting his permanent tattoo, his 14-year-old daughter Makalya read the contest rules: The contest was only open for permanent residents of Indiana, which Fraser is not.
“The day he got the tattoo that’s when he said, ‘I hope it’s not one of those contests where you have to be a resident of the state,'” Makalya told ABC News.
Despite not being able to win the tickets, Fraser took his two daughters to Indianapolis to see the boy band in concert and says he will keep his tattoo forever.
“We didn’t go on stage or get front row,” Fraser told ABC News. “But the reward has been all the memories that we’ve made.”
