In these rather dark times, One Direction fans have found a ray of light: The 1D guys are all following Zayn Malik on Twitter once again.
Eagle-eyed Directioners noticed that Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson — as well as the official One Direction Twitter account — are all now part of Malik’s 28.5 million followers. It’s unclear exactly when all of those follows happened (or when the guys had previously unfollowed Malik), but the development certainly has fans in a frenzy.
Hashtags like #OneDirectionReunion and a more timely #1DOnlineConcertStayAtHome (which is trending in the United States) have flooded Twitter recently, with several fans rounding up hints of a reunion beyond the guys re-following Malik, who left the group in 2015. Others are taking to Twitter to simply freak out: “I’m not sure what to do with myself,” one fan wrote in all caps, adding, “if this is real help me.”
