One Direction was forced to cancel their concert in Belfast on Tuesday night (Oct. 20) just before it was to begin. The pre-show announcement informed fans that Liam Payne is ill, so the group wouldn’t be performing.

An onscreen message noted that while Payne’s illness isn’t serious, the show wouldn’t be happening. “The band apologize to the fans and wish Liam better,” the statement said, in part.

UPDATE: All members of 1D except for Payne took to Twitter to apologize to their Irish fans.
