Zendaya received a major honor this month when Mattel announced they were creating a Barbie doll in her likeness — and a fellow Barb couldn’t contain her excitement.
Nicki Minaj was one of the stars who reached out to Zendaya to congratulate her on the honor, while also reminding everyone that she was honored with her own Barbie in 2011.

“Congrats on your doll, Zendaya,” Minaj wrote on Instagram. “Did u know Barbie made me one a cpl years back? It was such an honor & a HUGE surprise. Anyway, I love your doll’s hair! I love what it means for other little girls who will identify with it & be empowered. Continue to be proud of yourself girls!!!!! #Barbie.”
Barbz unite! Nicki also posted a second picture on Instagram with both of the dolls side by side and a caption that read “@zendaya they should have matching bff Barbie cars with the dreamhouse to match. Love this.”
Zendaya replied on Twitter to say, “Representation is important.”
