Nick and Drew Lachey are pleading with the public to help them find information about the shooting of a woman who works at their Cincinnati sports bar after Ellie Richardson was shot in the face early Thursday morning (Nov. 23). Richardson, a recently engaged mother of a 3 year-old boy, was walking across the street near the 98 Degrees members’ bar, Lachey’s, in the city’s Over-The-Rhine neighborhood when a gunman in a van yelled at her and then opened fire.
“Ellie sustained injuries to her face and jaw,” according to a page seeking donations for Richardson’s health care. “She’s in stable condition, but it’s still unclear how long she’ll be in the hospital and what her recovery process will entail. Funds from this campaign will go toward her medical expenses and help support her and her family until she’s back on her feet.” Cincinnati.com reports that 27 year-old Richardson sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head in the incident, which took place after she was almost struck by a van as she was leaving work and exchanged words with the driver before being shot.
Please help Ellie and her family get through this most difficult time. Thank you!!https://t.co/aF2tPmX9kJ

At press time 614 donors had raised $40,010 of the goal on the YouCaring page. Police have described the suspect as a man in his 20s wearing gold-rimmed glasses with a light beard driving a van.
