Niall Horan visited SiriusXM Hits 1’s morning show Wednesday (Oct. 25) to chat about his new album, Flicker, perform a song and take part in a “Too Much to Ask”-inspired game.
The former One Direction member, who just released his debut solo album, played “Too Much to Ask,” which he’s previously said is a “very special song” that’s one of his favorites.
“I tried to write with a lot of new people,” Horan told SiriusXM of the making of Flicker. “I’m always up for it. I just find that looking back now in hindsight, looking at the album, the songs that are the most personal I either wrote on my own or I wrote with someone I really know.”
The singer-songwriter revealed “Too Much to Ask” was one of the first songs he wrote for Flicker. “I had this concept for the song, kinda like holding onto something that’s not really there anymore,” he said.
Horan also revealed he’s up for almost anything while answering a round of questions about whether or not various requests would be “Too Much to Ask” for him. It turns out if you’re friends with Niall, he’d let you borrow his car, hold your purse, help you move and would even be willing to sing at a wedding.
