Niall Horan might be embarking on his solo career now, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten his One Direction roots — or their many hits.
Foregoing the arenas and stadiums he played while in the boy band, the Ireland native kicked off his Flicker Sessions tour at the intimate Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, Tuesday night. There, he performed an acoustic, folksy rendition of “Fool’s Gold,” a song that originally appeared on 1D’s fourth studio album, Four.
Wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, the singer barely strums through the opening notes before the fans present begin to scream with delight. Throughout the video, Horan’s voice is joined by the fans’ own exuberant singing.
