‘Tis the season of Jingle Balls, where your favorite artists come together for a radio-sponsored night of magical music. The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball presented by Capital One in Los Angeles on Friday (Dec. 1) brought together One Direction — well, two-fifths of it.
We’ll take what we can get.
Liam Payne and Niall Horan each performed tracks from their growing solo catalogs at iHeart’s Jingle Ball, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t time backstage for a little nostalgia.
“@NiallOfficial good to see you bro,” Payne tweeted with a photo of the two attached.

In the past, both Horan and Payne have disclosed that they’d be open to a full-on 1D reunion someday. In June, Horan told Entertainment Tonight Canada, “You can’t rule anything out really, can you? I suppose right now it would be a bit weird, but I never rule anything out, to be honest.”
Payne was a bit more sure in his prediction, as he tweeted last December “I’m 100 [percent] certain that we will” when asked by a fan “Will One Direction ever get back together?”
This isn’t the first time Horan and Payne have rejoined in 2017. The two got to hang out in June at Indiana radio station WZPL’s Birthday Bash concert. The next opportunity for these two to catch up will be this Friday (Dec. 8) at the Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
As a bonus, Horan photo op with Payne wasn’t the only buzz-worthy snap of the night as the Irishman also posted a pic with The Chainsmokers, Ed Sheeran and Logic.
