
Neil Diamond revisits 14 of his greatest hits on an upcoming (Nov. 20) album recorded live at Abbey Road Studios on Neil Diamond With The London Symphony Orchestra. The 14-track Capitol Records album features new vocals from Diamond on fresh interpretations of such beloved hits as “I Am… I Said,” “Song Sung Blue,” “America,” “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” “Love on the Rocks” and “Sweet Caroline.”
The set, recorded at Abbey Road in London and Diamond’s L.A. studio, was produced by Grammy-winning producer/arranger Walter Afanasieff and co-arranged by Afanasieff and Grammy-winning conductor/arranger William Ross. “Neil Diamond is simply one of the most important vocalists and songwriters in the history of popular music, and this majestic new album shines a beautiful spotlight on some of his greatest works,” said Steve Barnett, Capitol Music Group Chairman/CEO in a statement. “Classic Diamonds is a glorious addition to Neil’s body of work, and we are proud to be presenting it to listeners around the world.”
