An act of kindness. On Saturday (July 25), Vanessa Bryant took to social media to reveal Taylor Swift sent her daughter, Natalia, a cardigan from her latest line of Folklore merch.
“Thank you @taylorswift #Cardigan,” the late NBA star’s widow captioned the snap of her 17-year-old gleefully holding up the chunky oatmeal-colored sweater with silver stars sewn into the elbows.
Natalia also posted about the gift on her own Instagram Story, writing, “Thank you SO much @taylorswift…I am OBSESSED with ‘folklore’!!!” The teenager’s gift even came with a sweet, personal note from the pop star, which was blurred out in her post.
Over the weekend, Swift surprised the world by releasing Folklore, her eighth studio set, less than a year after 2019’s Lover. Written and recorded in isolation during the pandemic, the indie-leaning, piano-driven LP was co-produced by the superstar with Jack Antonoff and The National‘s Aaron Dessner, and features 16 tracks including lead single “Cardigan.”
