Miley Cyrus‘s sixth studio album Younger Now arrived in full on Friday (Sept. 29), and in the last hours remaining before its release on Thursday night (Sept. 28) the one-time party girl kept a super-low profile.
Instead of popping bottles at a club or throwing a crazy album release party, Miley spent some quality time with her mom, Tish Cyrus, cuddling in bed — a fitting activity, say, for a younger child. See what she did there?
“Album release night well spent …. in Nashville … in bed … cuddling … with my mom. #YoungerNow !!!!” Cyrus tweeted along with a video.

In the video, Cyrus talks to the camera with her mother by her side. “Just dropped down in Nashville,” she says. “Cuddling with my mom. What else are you supposed to do the night that you’re album’s coming out? I am so punk. This is kind of whack, but there’s no one I’d rather spent my album-release night with than my mom.”
“Honey,” Tish says, “that’s so sweet.”
“So that’s why I’m home celebrating,” Miley continues. “Hanging with Mama T in Nashville for my Spotify album release party tomorrow.”
“We look absolutely terrifying,” Tish adds.
“Speak for yourself,” Miley says before the video ends.
Younger Now boasts the heartfelt ballad “Malibu” — which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
